Rehabilitation Program

Physical Therapy
Provide individualized services for the treatment and evaluation of neuromuscular conditions, orthopedic, motor skill development, cardio-pulmonary or motor sensory skills. Its objective is the prevention and rehabilitation promoting the maximum development potential and independence of the children.

Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is one of the health related professions. Evaluate and offer treatment to children and pre-adolescents with physical limitations and/or cognitive to promote their physical, social, emotional and intellectual development though activities whose purpose in the areas of self help, visual-motor skills, fine motor skills, perceptual and sensory amongst others, we increase their abilities to function in the home, school and community environments. Also we provide orientation and consulting to parents and teachers to facilitate the process of children learning. The main goal is for the pre-adolescent child to achieve the maximum possible independence despite their condition or limitation.

Speech and Language Therapy
Provide evaluation, therapeutic and orientation services to parents, professionals and the community at large about the difficulties in the speech and language skill area. In the area of language we work in the pre-requirements of language comprehension, audio, expressive communication, phonic processes, reading and writing skills. In the area of speech, we work on the oral mechanisms, nutrition, articulation, rhythm, voice and other disorders that affect the communication process. In the area of audio we work in the aural habitation and rehabilitation and the total communication process. Also we produce services of technology assistance to children that may require it due o their physiological condition with the objective to correct or minimize their communication problems.

Visual Skills
Program of visual skills and care conductivita focused to help in the development of solid skills that help in establishing visual connection with your environment, to develop improved eye movement and fluidity in the focusing system.

Educational Therapy
Directed to develop and strengthen the educational skills by creating a dynamic where the child learns according to his/ her individualized learning style.Related

Social Work
We interview, orient, evaluate and refer children to additional specific required evaluations. We seek help for children, parents and community as required to benefit our population.

Transportation
We offer transportation services that are coordinated through our Social Worker and School and Therapists for those children and families that require this during operating hours.

Coordination of Services
Provide the coordination of all the services that the families and children at the Center require.

Medical Volunteers
This consists of a group of 30 volunteer doctors that provide free services for children that are referred to them by the Espibi.

Support Groups
We provide orientation and workshops to the parents of children with special needs who are receiving or are interested to learn more of these conditions.

Student Internships
University students in related areas practice on hand skills under supervision at the Center. This is coordinated with their schoolteachers and includes: Physical, Occupational, Speech Language and Musical Therapy. It also includes Social Work and Psychology.

School for Parents
Orientation and Knowledge is provided to parents thru professors and professionals specialized in parents needs for the proper oversight of their children.

Computing Workshop
We offer specialized therapeutic services thru the use of computers in the areas of Occupational, Speech Language and Educational Programs.

Clinics
We offer specialized services once or twice a year depending on the needs of the population. These are open to the community / public at large.

School Orientation
We provide orientation and educational presentations to area youth on scientific data on prevention of birth defects and how lack of folic acid, balanced diet and poor pre natal care contributes in your child's development cycle. We also promote the message of abstention, do and do not to this population and provide other orientation and specialized services that this population requires.

Summer Camp
Children with limitations are allowed to participate in a comprehensive summer camp that consists of sporting, beech, pool, dance, music and special tours for their development, socialization and individual independence. Workshops are also providing to parents.

Activities
We prepare social and educational activities for the children and their families.

Fund Raising
We develop fund raising strategies and implement them in order to secure income to the institution. This is accomplished with the support of employees, volunteers and the community at large. This allows the on going support of repetitive programs and the expansion of services, given increased availability of funds.

Volunteers
These are made up of community, parents and students that want to and get involved in a tangible and positive experience. This is accomplished through multiple programs that meet the many varied needs of Espibi.

José (Cheo) Ramírez Wirshing School

Pre-school- Kinder
Develop educational skills that allow the child to deal in a regular school environment or the closest to this. Participant ages are 1-6 years old and 8 chronological years old. We focus on educational skills with the PEI (Individualized Specialized Plan) and develop socialization skill integration into regular kinder studies.

First-Third Grade
We focus on academic skills of the individual child, while reinforcing her/his potential to complete grade requirements.

Adaptive Physical Education
Develops motor and social skills thru games and sports that are adapted to each individual's specific condition.
